Guy Challenge is an event built exclusively for men.

Guy Challenge is a place to cut loose, relax, laugh, be well fed, get inspired, encouraged, and challenged. Guy Challenge is a place where you will be armed to be a courageous follower of Jesus in your everyday life.

Our theme this year is Desperado. We talk about following Jesus but are we? Our theme this year is Desperado. Interestingly, the New Testament has a very vivid word for those who humbly follow Jesus--the "despised!" It comes from the combination of two Greek words, which mean "from nothing." A good English word for "despised" might be "desperado." We tend to think of a desperado as someone outside the law. But originally, the word meant a nobody with nothing, desperate enough to take reckless action to get something of substance for their life. We want to be men who are willing to be desperados for Jesus.

Guy Challenge will equip you with practical tools for your everyday life. Our vision is to see men raised up to be a Godly force leaving a lasting impact on their families, the church, community, and the world.

Dr. David Clark

Dr. David Clark has served as Lead Pastor at Central Christian Church in Beloit, Wisconsin for 35 plus years. He led Central Christian through a relocation process in 1990 and the church completed its third major building project in 2007—a 1400 seat worship facility and contemporary children’s center. Under his leadership, the church has grown from 200 to 2000 in average weekend attendance, adding a Hispanic congregation, an inner-city African-American congregation, and two satellite campuses. He has served on the NACC Continuation Committee and spoken at the NACC. David and his wife, Deby, have four children, two of whom are adopted from Haiti, and four grandchildren.

Pastor JAH has a renewed vision for the Levitical heart of worship. He strives to be the help minister to the lead preaching Pastors by preparing the music, graphics, decor, set up, tear down, and all other creative elements used to give God Glory, allowing those Pastors the freedom to excel in the calling God has placed on their lives!! Pastor JAH and his wife Whitney have been leading worship for over 25 years, having toured the world while leading for 12 of those years. They have 6 awesome Kids. Pastor JAH enjoys all sports, really likes Cars, but above all enjoys using the creative gifts God has given him to Praise the King of all Kings…JESUS!!!

A special session on Saturday will feature an interview with two WWII vets, a once in a lifetime opportunity to hear from true men of honor.

Harold Baughman served in the army from 1942-1945, fighting in the Siegfried Line Campaign in Europe. Having been wounded, he returned to action in time for the final phase of the Battle of the Bulge. After the war, Harold went home to his wife, Arlene, in Sheldon, Wisconsin, where they raised six children (two boys and four girls). He served as an Elder in the Sheldon Church of Christ for approximately 50 years. Born in 1917, Harold was baptized in 1931.

Bill Borland served in the Navy from 1941 to 1945 aboard a battleship, the USS Colorado. While on the Colorado, Bill participated in every battle in the Pacific theater except when the ship was hit by two kamikazes causing it to miss the battle of Iwo Jima. Returning to his hometown of Oelwein, Iowa, he married Ella June, and they raised six children (two boys and four girls). They moved to Eau Claire in 1969 where they were active members of Cornerstone Christian Church. Born in 1924, Bill was baptized in 1971.

Christian Financial Resources

Christian Financial Resources (CFR) is a not-for-profit organization with a mission of "Funding Ministry... Changing Lives."At CFR, we assist independent Christian Churches and their associated ministries. We currently manage over $400 million in total assets while serving roughly 3,000 investors.

The CFR ministry model is simple, building on the stewardship practices of the first-century church. In the early church, believers shared their possessions with other believers in need. By opening a CFR investment account, you are helping to fund a ministry project. Since 1980, hundreds of ministry projects have received funding through CFR! These projects include land acquisitions, loan refinances, and/or the construction improvement of church buildings, parsonages, schools, and various other facilities operated by the congregations we serve.
